LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, December 10, at 5 pm for a Christmas gathering.  Ernie’s bingo will be played.  Please bring a white elephant gift and treats to share.   CTS WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Monday, December 11 at 11 am.   LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, December 11 beginning at 2 pm.   FLC COUNCIL MEETING on Monday, December 11 at 6:30 pm.   BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, December 12 at Hardees.   “SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, December 12 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS.   JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM movie will be at Vision II Theater at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, December 13.  Doors open at 5:30 pm.  Come be the guest of the First Lutheran Youth!! THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, December 14, at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran.  CTS TASKFORCE will meet on Sunday, December 17 at noon.MIDWEEK ADVENT SERVICES will be NOT BE held on Wednesday, December 13.  Please join the youth at the movie that evening! The last midweek Advent Worship will be on Wednesday, December 20 at 6:30 pm at First Lutheran.  Supper and the service will be held in the Fireside Room. COME SEE JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM on Wednesday, December 13 at the Vision II theater at 6:30 pm.  The youth of First Lutheran are sponsoring the movie with doors opening at 5:30 pm.  There is no charge for the movie–all are welcome to enjoy the movie as guests. CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES will be held on Sunday, December 24 at First Lutheran Church at 5 pm and Christ the Servant at 6:30 pm.  There will also be the radio broadcast at 6:30 pm. SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING OPPORTUNITY! First Lutheran rang bells on Saturday, December 2.  If you would still like to ring the bells, please contact Patti Bisgard.  She has many more opportunities available for you!!   “NOISY OFFERINGS” WILL CONTINUE to be taken on Sundays.  Please consider bringing your loose change to church and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!! DECEMBER IS DENTAL HEALTH MONTH at the Ministries Center.Examples would be toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, dental floss, etc. Please consider helping with this ministry! The Week of November 19 at CTS & FLC

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY,  November 19 9 am – Chariton Worship & Christmas Program Practice 11 am – Corydon Worship 10:30 am – Radio Broadcast on KIIC Radio – 96.7 FM Albia THANKOFFERING will be collected during worship on Sunday, November 19.  Thankofferings are a long-standing custom among Lutheran women.  This is a way to show thanks for blessings received.  This thankoffering is hosted by our congregational unit of Women of the ELCA. Everyone is welcome to give Thankoffering that day!

THE CTS WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet on Tuesday, November 21, at Christ the Servant beginning at 11:30 am.    THE COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING WORSHIP SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, November 21, at First Lutheran Church at 7 p.m.    “THE STORY” DISCUSSION GROUP will be meeting on Wednesday, November 22 at 10 am. CHARITON COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church.  This service is sponsored by the Interchurch Council.  Everyone is welcome to come and join in this worship celebration! “THE STORY” DISCUSSION GROUP will be meeting on Wednesdays, at 10 am through November 22.  The group will resume meeting in January. Everyone is welcome to attend!  The discussion will align with the previous Sunday’s sermon. “NOISY OFFERINGS” WILL CONTINUE to be taken on Sundays.  Please consider bringing your loose change to church and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!!
