Every third Saturday in October (and also April) Lutheran World Relief contributions from central Iowa are gathered together at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Ankeny. There, a semi-truck waits to load up donations for delivery to Lutheran World Relief’s distribution facility in South St. Paul, Minnesota.
On October 20, Miriam Hibbs transported First Lutheran Church’s contributions to Ankeny. That huge load consisted of 81 school kits, 76 quilts and blankets, 4 baby care kits, and 3 health kits. THANK YOU to Miriam for delivering our donations and to all who contributed their time and talents in making the quilts and putting together the kits. A special thank you to Martha Milnes and Karen Orwig for binding ALL 76 quilts.
