The Set Me Free Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring prevention education to youth and families to stop human trafficking before it begins. The curriculum is informative, interactive, and flexible – reaching students, educators, parents and leaders in every facet of our communities. Depending on community attendance, there will be break away groups for Middle Schoolers, High Schoolers and Adults. Cookies and conversation will follow.

THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, June 9, at Homestead, at 1 pm.
THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA SOUTHEASTERN IOWA SYNODICAL WOMEN’S ORGANIZATION (SWO) will meet for their annual gathering on June 10-11, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport. Registration begins at 2:30 pm on Friday, June 10. The event will conclude on Saturday, June 11, around 3 pm.
CONFIRMATION WILL BE HELD AT FIRST LUTHERAN NEXT SUNDAY,
JUNE 12. Those being confirmed are: AVA KRUTSINGER, DALTON LUKAVSKY, ALEX OXENREIDER, and CONNOR SHORE.

On Sunday, June 19, outdoor Worship is being planned on the west side of First Lutheran on the large cement pad to begin at 9 am. Please bring your lawn chairs.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO WOMEN
The Cluster Organization of the Women of the ELCA is giving scholarships for the academic year of 2022-2023 to any female of any age attending an institution of higher learning who is a member of a church in our Conference 9. Those just graduating and those returning to college are all encouraged to apply. Total scholarship dollars will be determined at the fall cluster meeting. Applications are to be received by the scholarship committee by August 15, 2022. Forms are available at First Lutheran on the desk in the Fireside Room. In Corydon, you will find them on the table in the basement. You can also call Wendy in the church office (641-774-4875) and she will mail one to you.
