Two Great Book Fairs: Started November 4 at First Lutheran Church

Just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas giving, we are having a book fair at First Lutheran Church. Two book fairs, simultaneously!

The Fortress Press Wellness Book Fairfor adults offers books that help you heal, grow and thrive. Coping with grief and loss, managing stress, overcoming adversity are topics that touch everyone at some point in their life. These books will help you deal with difficult concerns and will help open the door for continuing conversations about difficult or stigmatized topics, reinforcing the church’s role as a safe, welcoming place where people can seek help and support.

Stop by and look through the sample books and place your order for any of them and others being offered. Among the books you may preview are the following:

Good Grief, 40-Day Journey with Dietrich Bonhoeffer, 40-Day Journey with Martin Luther, A House United (How the Church Can Save the World, Limping but Blessed, Stranger God, Waiting for Good News, Fit and Faithful, True Connection, Dignity and Grace, Love without Limits, They Don’t Come with Instructions, andSurviving the Biblewill all be available for your review.

The Children’s’ Christmas Book Fairoffers special titles that will help kids thrive emotionally, socially and spiritually. The books on display include holiday titles from books and videos that tell the biblical nativity story to picture books that share the spirit and meaning of the season. Any of the non-holiday titles can be ordered at special Book Fair pricing for gift-giving.

Orders must be placed by December 6 to receive in time for Christmas. Recommended for ages 3-10, preschool through grade 4. All books are sold at discounted prices.

The Book Fairs will close on December 6 at noon and orders will be submitted so books may be received in time for Christmas-giving.

Sign up any time at the Book Fair to be eligible for a monthly $100 cash drawing.

If you are considering giving books for Christmas gifts, please show our book fairs. First Lutheran Church will receive 20% of all sales over $200 (the value of the sample books we get to keep).

On Sunday, November 11, the Book Fair will be at Christ the Servant until after the potluck.
